TRADE VINTAGE

What:  We accept fashionable, lightly worn 60s and 70s vintage clothing and accessories.  Items must be in-season. Please check for spots holes and missing buttons.   All items must be clean but do not need to be on hangers.  For a break down of exactly what we are looking for see our blog page.

How:

  1. Bring your items to MISRED and you will receive payment on the spot for the items that we choose to buy. We pay approximately 30% (of what we will sell it for) in cash or 40% in store credit.  It’s your choice.
  2. Any items not accepted by MISRED can be left and will be donated to a local charity for you.
  3. Unlike at a consignment shop, there is no waiting for payment at MISRED Outfitters. You receive your cash or trade immediately, before you leave the store.
  4. To sell us clothes, you must be at least 16 (or accompanied by an adult) and present a valid photo ID (driver’s license, passport, state or US military ID).
  5. We buy and trade on Tuesdays and Thursdays all day or by Appointment only.  Please be respectful to our Buyers.  We desire to maintain a high quality of merchandise and know what our customers want.

What:

MISRED Outfitters  wants to be able to provide the fashion community with the best possible Vintage wares.  In order to do this, we need to be discerning with what we take in on trade.  This a summary of what we are looking for to help you prepare for trading with MISRED ….

Jackets: Rocker Leather, Denim Distressed (especially Levi), Biker anything,  Faux Fur Jackets and Vest, Real Fur (think glam not granny), Slouchy, Avant Garde styles, Good Fitted Trench, Cool Capes
Sweaters: Must Have Unique Details like batwings, beads, Tigers/birds, Large crochet, Missoni-like patterns, space dye, hippie 70 feel, Studs, Cropped, Tribal, Hooded, Aztec, Ikat, Navajo, Romantic, Preppy Collegiate.
Dresses:   70s ethnic hippie dresses, gauzy maxi dresses, unique one shoulder, drop waist, avant shoulders, updated 50s house wife silhouette, Kimono sleeves, Leopard print, Bold/jewel tone colors, 70s dancing dresses, Lace, Crochet, Caftans, Peplum, Hooded, Painterly, Cut Out, Military, Sheers, Ruffles, Fun Rompers and Jumpers too.
Tops: Unique  Sleeves, Lux Fabric, Drapey, Lace, Metallic, Sequins (think gold/black/silver…be careful colors don’t look tacky) Fringe, Cage, Cut Outs, Animal Prints, Rocker Tees, Sheer, Tribal, Native American, Asian, Sailor  Inspired, Military, Tuxedo Style, Jean Button Ups, Bold Stripes, Crochet.
Pants: High Waist, Wide Lag, Harem, Shredded Jeans, Unique Patterns, Tuxedo, Cotton Cargo

Jewelry: BIG Necklaces (the Bigger the better!!!), Cool Cuff/Wood and Metal Bangle Bracelets, Big Metal Earrings, Big Rings.  No Plastic.  Think super unique…70s/80s…ethnic…collars, lapel style…BIG!
